Create new collage art with materials from museums, libraries, and archives across Europe

World Collage Day is an annual, international celebration of collage art on the second Saturday of May. Collage is perfect to experiment with any day - a hands-on technique of assembling cut-out images, textures, and fragments to create something entirely new. It’s playful, expressive, and open to everyone.

To mark World Collage Day, and help you get started with collaging, we've created a free Collage Book filled with visual gems from Europe's cultural heritage collections - vintage maps, botanical illustrations, historical photos, beautiful paintings and more.

These materials come from museums, libraries, and archives across the continent, and they’re ready for you to cut, layer, and reimagine.

Whether you're an artist or just looking to have some creative fun, download the book, grab your scissors (or your tablet if you prefer to work digitally), and let the past inspire your creativity.
