A female lens

Autorid

This exhibition was created as part of Europeana's Women's History Month 2023 campaign. To create the exhibition, we have used images that are openly available on the Europeana website or other sources. This means our stories come largely from Sweden, Finland, the UK and the US.

But there are many more photographers whose work we have not been able to include. There is a wealth of other women photographers that deserve recognition; from Julia Margaret Cameron to Trude Fleischmann to Tina Modotti, just to name a few.
