Beaded art from Cameroon & more
This relatively small gallery will be devoted to a specific theme, beaded art from Cameroon. It will also show objects from other cultural spheres to create some depth and perspective. The gallery is part of my preparatory work which will address the complexity of this extra layer of material, iconography, symbolism and meaning. I will specifically focus on inherent notions of (cultural, societal and emotional) value, and authenticity. It is a work in progress.
