This online exhibition was produced as part of the project Beyond Dodos and Dinosaurs: Displaying Extinction and Recovery in Museums, funded by the Research Council of Norway and the University of Stavanger, Norway.
The project is also producing a physical exhibit “The Beaver’s Journey” in a partnership with Elvarheim museum, a division of Aust-Agder museum og arkiv and Jamtli. The physical exhibit will be shown in Åmli, Norway, at the Elvarheim museum in 2021 and in Östersund, Sweden, at Jamtli in 2022 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the beaver’s return to Sweden.
